Berman is a graduate of SUNY Purchase college of New York, her work has been exhibited in several solo and group exhibitions both in New York and in Israel.

In her paintings, Berman reflects on the journey she took when coming to Israel.  She explores human bodies in her work, as a way to relay mood and a visual language.  This visual language gives Michal a distinct style of fluidity with structure. Berman likes to play between finding a balance of abstraction and classical forms.  She explores storytelling through her artwork.
